North Shore Animal League America Pet Health Centers is promoting the importance of spaying or neutering your pet by having a special discount during the month of September. Pet owners that take their pet for a pre-spay/neuter exam will receive $10.00 off the exam fee as well as 10% off the blood work required for the procedure.
The surgical procedure of spaying or neutering your pet renders them incapable of reproducing. By spaying or neutering your pet, you’ll help control the pet homelessness crisis, which results in millions of healthy dogs and cats being euthanized in the United States each year.
There are many health benefits to having this procedure as well. Spaying females will prevent the risk of uterine infection or cancers. Neutering males prevents testicular cancer and greatly reduces their risk for perianal tumors.
